It is a joy and a privilege to lead this wonderful school community, and I warmly welcome you to be part of it. Since joining St Joseph’s in 2022, I’ve witnessed such positive change — in our culture, in the way we teach and learn, and in the growth of our students. Our focus is always on doing what’s best for each child, supporting them to thrive in every way.
We often refer to the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child,” and at St Joseph’s, that’s something we live by. Our whole-school approach brings together staff, families, and students, working in partnership to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for learning and growth.
St Joseph’s is a co-educational Catholic primary school catering for children from 3-Year-Old Kindergarten through to Year 6. Established in 1898 and steeped in the tradition of the Sisters of St Joseph, our school shares a close and valued relationship with the All Hallows Church, located right next door. This strong connection to our Catholic identity underpins all that we do!
A key part of our identity is our commitment to Walking in Our Charism — an initiative that brings our school’s history and values to life. Inspired by Saint Mary MacKillop’s call to “Never see a need without doing something about it,” this project connects students, staff, and families to our Josephite heritage through meaningful, community-based actions. From our Grotto and school mosaic to our 125-year history walk and original school song, this initiative ensures our faith and values are not only taught but lived and celebrated in visible, authentic ways.
We believe every child is a unique gift from God. At St Joseph’s, we’re committed to recognising and nurturing the individual strengths of each student. Through engaging, inquiry-based learning, modern technology, and a relevant, inclusive curriculum, we aim to spark curiosity and inspire every learner to reach their full potential.
