St Joseph’s School aims to work with parents in the religious development of their children, as we recognise parents as the primary educators, particularly in faith education. The Bishops of Western Australia promulgate a Religious Education curriculum for Pre-Primary to Year 6 students. This curriculum aims to enhance students’ knowledge of Catholic teaching, as well as to promote curiosity and reflection upon the gifts God has provided so they are equipped to live a Christian life based on sound moral choices. Whilst there is no formal Religious Education program for students in Pre-Kindy and Kindy, they engage in religious activities at an age-appropriate level. All students participate in Religious Education, regardless of their personal religious beliefs.
